I'll be writing my final essay for the first half of my MA around Bridget Riley and how her work relates to landscape, institutions and geographies. Seeing her work at Tate Britain this week reminded me of my own approach to abstract landscapes. See less

The making of an image (scroll for end result). Sometimes using multiple exposure and intentional camera movement, but not always. This picture is one of a series from Provence. 1. Cezanne's favourite mountain, Mont Saint-Victoire overlooking Aix en Provence, taken from Le Tholomet. 2. Graffitied barrel, Arles. 3. Olive grove flowers by Saint Paul Asylum Van Gogh museum, Saint - Remy. 4. Marseille ICM from the station steps. 5 and 6. Water reflections Marseille port.

New work made using photographs taken in Provence over the last 2 weeks. The base layer is water reflections with a yellow filter combined with multiple fragments from from other photographs / layers to make the picture.

Autumn Birch framed and hung. This was too big for me to print at myself, with frame it is 1100mm long. Printed by theprintspace on Hahnemühle German Etching 305g paper and framed by the brilliant Richard at Pen Hill Framing. Planning to show this at Northants & Rutland Open Studios central exhibition in September. Prints available in this size, limited edition of 10 individually signed copies, plus two artist proofs.
