Would you believe this is actually around 15 separate photos stitched together in Photoshop? 👀

When I shared this photo last month, I never actually mentioned that it was a composite - and even more importantly, this was my first ever attempt at creating one!

These are my friend Holly Mallabourn litter, and as you can imagine, getting 11 puppies to all sit perfectly, look in the right direction and stay still at the same time wasn’t realistic - especially Springer Spaniels! 😂

So I photographed them individually and pieced the images together in Photoshop to create the final photograph.

After making a few last minute tweaks, I decided to enter it into the Guild of Photographers Image of the Month competition…

…and it came away with a Bronze Award! 🥉

VERY proud of my first attempt, and definitely makes me want to experiment with more composites in the future! 🤎

Months of planning, health testing, dedication, and so much care from their breeder.

I also see hundreds of individual photographs, hours in Lightroom & Photoshop, and probably the biggest technical challenge of my photography career so far.
