My latest Blog, celebrating a rare competition win is now viewable and also includes more information on what I'm up to currently to improve the quality of my Macro Photography. 😁

Latest Blog post in which I mull upon the hazards of getting a macro and focus stacking workflow into some sort of order is now live.

I've long been a fan of macro photography, but to date my attempts at this have been middling to poor. OK, some have been decent such as t...

Pleased and delighted to have won a Selectors Award in the annual Charles Hosken competition. This is a prestigious event drawing in images from all over Cornwall. This year, there were over 500 entries! so, to get recognised is a big plus. 😁 I won it in 2015 so I probably ought to enter more often than once every 10 years.😆
Blog post explaining a bit more about this particular competition and why I'm generally reluctant to enter competitions like this is in the works. 👍I will also be making prints which will be available either mounted, or mounted and framed. Details soon.

Latest Blog post is a kind of self-critique on a roll of film shot with my Zeiss Ikon Nettar in the centre of Plymouth looking at sites of Urban decay and the people that inhabit that area. I'm quite kind on myself, so you are quite welcome to rip into me in the comments. It's still coming up with the cute car in my links, so I'll look into that. In the meantime here's a low-res sample image, but I encourage you to look at the Blog post as the images are much higher resolution.

Latest Blog post is now up on my website. In this one I acknowledge the sometimes fortuitous outcome of mistakes in exposure and processing. I'm not claiming these are great images, but they have a certain atmosphere? Take a look and se what you think.🤔

OK, update for in that I have been updating and refining my new Blog which will follow on from the one based on my Wix website, which for cost reasons will revert to the 'free' version. Those who land on the original website will still see all the images and content there, but there will now be Wix branding and a wix URL. I will shortly be transferring my domain to my 'new' website which is under Adobe's auspices. I am paying for that already, but at least it's less than the £400 odd quid Wix want to charge me for features that are of no use at my level. I will be placing most future content either on my Blog or Website with Videos on YouTube of course. I am still here, but tired of the endless chatter and want to avoid the dreaded doom-scrolling effect. My website and Blog will be as ad-free as possible but I have little control over YouTube and its ads policy. I will, hopefully be building a small, but dedicated community of people who will actually be friends rather than 'Facebook' friends. I will still be posting here from time to time and may post the odd comment on others posts, but I won't be chasing the elusive 'likes' Hopefully some time will be released for actual photography, editing, filming videos and putting out 'content' where I want to.
On the subject of my new Blog, here is today's post which I'd be delighted if you read it and looked at the pictures. But if you want to stay here, that is fine too. Comments are also welcome, but I will have the final say. 😉

Delighted to have both these images well-received tonight at a critique evening at Wadebridge Photography Group. My 'Red Vespa with Girl' was also recommended for Salon Entry, by a well respected judge. Both are available to purchase as mounted and/or framed prints in a range of bespoke sizes.
