Thank you again to Jen Tiwanda Ellse for the opportunity to get some super shots of RPD Quantum, and Pip or course! Both super photogenic dogs and was a pleasure to shoot and edit.

This was my first dog shoot so it was a challenge getting a feel in my editing software compared to what I'm used to such as landscapes, people and birds! But that's what I love about the unknown, the unknown is where you learn and discover, it's the exciting part of photography!

Recently I went to visit retired police dog Quantum for his very own photoshoot! I volunteered with South Yorkshire Police and puppy sat, Quantum was the dog that stayed with us until he began his emersion into his full career as a police dog. If you've watched police interceptors you'll have certainly heard the name!

I have kept in touch with his handler Jen, who also runs her own dog training business being Ellse K9 Coaching, please drop her a follow! Photos will be posted hopefully this weekend or into next week so stay tuned!

Quantum has over 250 criminal apprehensions during a 6-year active career.

In 2018 he was stabbed in the face while tracking and detaining two robbery suspects, later earning a national bravery commendation for taking down a machete-wielding suspect.

In 2020 he was beaten with a nail-embedded plank of wood while helping subdue an aggressive offender at Nottingham Train Station who had knocked a British Transport Police officer unconscious.

He then later hung up his lead in September 2022.
