I heard a quote by Albert Einstein once, "The one who follows the crowd will likely get no further than the crowd. The one who walks alone, is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been." I find it fitting summarising my trip to Portugal.

I instantly fell in love with this country. Portugal blossoms with its music, it's food, it's overwhelming sense of pride in the culture. Like a small boy I found myself in awe of its magnificent architecture, my head craned high to the rooftops as I wandered down the dusty backstreets streets in search of ever more sights.

I caught the metro from Lisbon to Cascais, which in itself was a wonderful experience. My carriage was largely empty which was a gift, as it allowed me despite our language barrier to study this woman and her numerous expressions.

Some warming tones for your Monday morning.

Many years ago me and Jean would spend hours just driving. With no end destination in site, we'd just get in the car and drive. Some times it felt like we'd been graced with an endless summer. Windows down, music playing and the summer warmth on our backs. I think, its still a shared love of ours. Just recently the heavens have delivered a series of grey, less motivating days.

I met this chap, Bruce not long ago. A lovely chap who has a love for BSA motorcycles. We talked about the bikes we owned, and his enthusiasm for his BSA shone through. They don't make 'em like they used to anymore, every part was built in Britain.
