Aw what a day at the Lairg Crofters Show yesterday! This is always one of my favourites of the year but this year was made extra special by coming first in the indoor stalls! It’s always so lovely chatting to so many folk, so a massive thanks to everyone who stopped by!

The amount of work and effort that goes into these events is incredible and always makes such a lovely day for the whole community, as always a huge thanks and well done to the committee!

A wee note that my next market will be in the Rogart Mart on Saturday 5th September, pop over for a blether if you’re passing! 😊

It’s a good day to be a crofter in Lairg looking to buy a local calendar, some collie dog coasters, prints and frames of tractors and sheep or even a lamb greeting card or two 🤭

And more than that, there’s loads more to see and do! Music, entertainment, food, drink and so many other lovely stalls at the Lairg Crofters Show today! Here until 4:30pm! 🐑

Last week it was so lovely being asked to The Salt & Salmon Company - Falls of Shin to take some photos of their incredible food and drink, and it was lovely to see their staff getting involved in the fun too! And I can absolutely confirm, the food is just as good as it looks 🤭🍴

🗓️ 2027 Calendars & Cards! 📆

If you need a wee reminder of how quickly this year is flying by, here it is! My calendars are now available for pre-order and will be ready for collection or postage over the next couple of weeks.

Calendars are £15, plus postage if required. As much as I would love to do doorstep deliveries again this year, I just don’t think it’s something I can offer due to how busy things are. However, I’m more than happy to post them or arrange a convenient place to meet where I can.

All payments must also be made before any orders are posted or collected. Last year got a bit hectic with chasing up payments, so payment first please! 😊

This year I’ll also be continuing with a donation from the sale of each calendar going to the Hamish Ross Memorial Fund, supporting Cardiac Risk in the Young, a cause very close to so many of our hearts. You can learn more here: 🔗 https://tinyurl.com/yc38dxsc

As well as my calendars, I also have a couple of new selections of blank greeting cards available. These come in packs of three (one of each image) with a choice of Golspie Wildflowers or Rogart Lambs, finished with an eco-friendly belly band.

The cards are £6 per pack or any 2 packs for £10, and you can mix and match the designs if you’d like one of each.

A huge thank you for such a lovely response to my post last week, the next few months are already looking busy which I’m so thankful for!

A wee note on calendars, I received my sample prints today and they’re nearly ready to go! I’ll put up a post as soon as I’m ready for pre-orders, watch this space!

A wee update here, so a little bit of a lengthy post to make up for a severe lack of posting lately!

So, back in Spring I finally made the decision to take the massively exciting (but still slightly terrifying!) step into full time self employment, and have a rebrand to Niamh Ross Photography & Creative Services.

It’s only been a couple of months but I’m having an absolute blast, it’s so much fun being able to focus on what I really want to do, and I’m looking forward to some really exciting upcoming projects!

I’m also so lucky that as part of this, I have also been working with a number of amazing local businesses with some digital marketing work, helping them to share their stories. This also includes Dunrobin Castle, where I am handling the socials, marketing and in-house photography, which is just incredible fun (hence all the castle photos lately!).

By the end of the Summer I’m also hoping to have my new website up and running 🤞(www.niamhrosscreative.com) but in the meantime, if you have any questions about working together, please do just get in touch! No more juggling shoots around full time work! 😂

As always thank you so much to everyone who has supported me throughout these past few years! You really have no idea how much it means to me. Really excited to see what the next wee while brings 😄
