The reality behind the photos… 📸✨
If I’m honest, I don’t particularly enjoy being in front of the camera. Like many mums, I’m usually the one taking the photos rather than being in them.
But lately, I’ve been trying to push myself outside of my comfort zone and make sure I’m part of the memories too 🤍
This evening involved carrying a tripod across the beach, setting timers, running back and forth, and a fair amount of bribery to keep everyone smiling 😂
Was it chaotic? Absolutely.
Was it worth it? Every single second.
Because one day, these photographs won’t be for me. They’ll be for my children. They’ll be a reminder that I was there, making memories alongside them, not just capturing them from behind the camera.
So here’s your reminder, from one self-conscious mum to another: get in the photo. Your children won’t see the things you’re worried about. They’ll just see their mum ❤️
