The top three things that make a difference at your newborn session:
➡️ An outfit that fits your little one really well. If in doubt, size down! I'd rather it was super well fitted than swamping your newborn. I want to see all those details so keep your newborns hands and feet out too!
➡️ Choose the right colour palette. The colours you choose to wear have the biggest overall impact on the feel of your images. You don't need to match but try to co ordinate. Avoid big pattern, logos or anything too distracting. Be comfortable. And if in doubt, neutrals like creams, beiges, denim and white are a great choice.
➡️ The biggest one of all - your energy. Relax, relax and then relax some more. Your baby will pick up on your energy and some of the best sessions are the ones where parents are calm, chilled and in the moment. Stay present with your little one and use this time to soak up all the newborn cuddles and precious moments with your partner.

On booking, you'll receive a Newborn Session Prep Guide which hopefully answers lots of your questions before the session. But always reach out if you need any advice or help ahead of your session 😊

Last post on the grid this evening from Fletchers 2nd Birthday Session 🎂 The light on this particular evening was absolute chefs kiss. Super soft, revealing that gorgeous blue sky backdrop. It was worth the falling over on the rocks for, that's for sure 🤪

I'm sitting in amongst so much chaos in my house right now, and sometimes being a small biz owner + a mother feels entirely overwhelming and like you're failing in both areas. But I'm trying to remind myself that I AM doing it. Maybe not perfectly but the business is growing, blossoming & so are my children.

For anyone that needs to hear it today - cut yourself some slack. You're doing such an amazing job 💖
