This is a fantastic view point to point your camera at. Taken before the sun rose at blue hour. The premier put on ourselves to get a photo is sometimes unreal.! I was in place and could see the sky starting to colour up so I took this long exposure at 30 seconds and did not need to be any longer as the sea was so calm. I then repositioned myself as the sky produced more colour, I will share that one later. I then in my excitement forgot to retake this composition.! Also added pressure Jack Lodge has just posted a belter of a image! from the same area taken a day after mine. A photographer that I admire and look up to😬. (Sky is blueish as it is blue hour)

Summer photography is always the hardest month for woodland. I'm lucky that I have access a private estate local to home. It has a redwood planting which is very unique. I will photograph them through the season. This was taken in the morning of the summer solstice at 5 In the morning.
There was a promise of fog but that did materialise. I really enjoy the colours that the trees bring to the dark green of summer foliage.Canon UK Woodland

Well this was a lovely little find today. Had a day off watching the rain out of my window. Then I thought I pop out with the camera for 10 mins before I pick the kids up from school. I went local and found this lovely fern glade 10mins from home. I then spend a good hour and a half here. I have a couple of other compositions that I like, I will share this week. I do like the way the old tree has broken and propping up another fallen branch. I love ferns and the colour green! Reminds me of a plant in starwars!

I'm still playing catch up on editing my photos from my early get up at 3.30am drive 1.5 hours to visit a beautiful bluebell wood. I was the only one there on this morning, Lucked out I think. This is one I enjoy taking and composing as it is a 4x3 crop. I t**e ages making sure I had the ferns where I wanted in the corners of the frame. But also that the trees were given the right spacing at the top of the frame. Anyway just a nice piece with soft light.

A walk through the wild garlic, after dropping the kids to school.
It was just wonderful breathing in the smell with the warm spring sunshine heating up the countryside. Sometimes it is not always about the photography even though I always have my camera with me. It was more about just enjoying the moment rather than worrying about it was the wrong time of day, the light was to harsh! It would look better in different conditions. Yes this is all true.
But you have to be careful about not missing the moment at that time you are in. Enjoy!
