Literally had to dust off my tripod and long lens, figured I'd give this moonrise malarky another quick go 😄

Low cloud was rubbish, so no pictures behind the houses along Millionaire's Row (Banks Road), but then the Barfleur popped up.

Tonight's Pink Full Moon over Hengistbury Head and the Coastguard hut.

I didn't think the moon would actually show much as it was quite hazy in the sky, but it came out alright in the end.

This was a bit of a last minute change to what I had hoped to do here, but I shall just have to wait and try my original idea another time.

And so, that wonderful season is once again upon us: Milky Way season.

I actually miscalculated and thought Milky Way season started next month, and realised at 1am last night that it was this week and last night was the only clear night until next weekend, so a quick trip down the beach followed 😄

Those Boats.

This was one of the most challenging Milky Way shots I've done in terms of capturing the required images. Due to the lights on the prom, it meant you couldn't do anywhere near as long an exposure as you would normally.

Last week I was fortunate enough to be on an actual cruise ship for a short 4-day break. Whilst on the ship, I noticed the lift shaft and how it looked when looking directly up. So as a change of pace from Milky Way and Moon pictures, here's something a little more abstract.
