I’ve realised it’s been ages since I’ve posted a tree… so here’s a rather lovely Lime! Hollow as you like, 4 maybe 5 structural units there. It was fairly recently pollarded by MArborA, Veteran Tree Specialist Practitioner to conserve the old fella and it’s one of my absolute faves. Top notch ancient lime. Sometimes locally referred to as the Gibbons Lime. Might be ready for a protective basket too - my volunteers do a splendidly tidy dead hedge to create root protection areas, which we’ve done on other trees in the Park using coppiced material.
