~ Shhh, don’t tell! ~

I’m hanging on to the last bit of the festive season, which means I’m all stocked up on chocolate and Christmas cake.

And since today I’ve been working at home alone, I've indulged and no one has had any idea I’ve been writing blog posts sat in front of a roaring fire with a box of Celebrations next to me to keep me going.

You won’t tell, will you? 😉

I’ve been Lake District Wedding and Family Photographer five years.

I used to get really nervous before each and every photo-shoot, and these days, I still get butterflies but it's more excited nervous than worry because I love what I do!

~ Your Most Productive Hour ~

Productivity… how do you find it?! I’m at my personal best when the rest of the world is fast asleep.

Editing flow tends to hit me between 8 pm and 2 in the morning, no matter how much I’d love for it to keep a more reasonable schedule.

So, when are you most productive?

Are you:

A. an early bird;

B. a night owl;

C. whatever the bird is that thrives in the afternoons?

~ Tell me something about YOU before I get carried away… ~

Hello and welcome!

As a Lake District Wedding & Family Photographer I really should post a lot more about my business, more about our beautiful cat Tilly (who doesn't like cats, right?) and absolutely more about myself so you can all get to know me better.

So, to kick off my mission to post more I thought I'd toss up a post that tells
you some things you probably didn’t know about me.

Ready for some flash fire fun facts?

I love romance, be it books, films or weddings. Anything that makes me swoon!

My favourite ways to spend time with my family are Sunday lunch or being out and about in the Lake District (evening strolls are a fave) or if the weather is pants (as it often is here in the Lake District), take-aways and boardgames.

My weakness is crafty things - I'm not saying I'm great at it but I love collecting bits and pieces where the possibilities are endless. Must be a hangover from my days as a primary teacher.

When you're planning a destination wedding in the Lake District don't overlook the knowledge and experience of a photographer local to the area.

As I live on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park I get lots of lovely opportunities to explore and find amazing locations which I'm able to share with you.
