Meet Lollie — our little pub regular who’s stolen the hearts of everyone in Radcliffe-on-Trent. 🐾🍺💛
Lollie comes in with her wonderful humans, Arthur and Rowena, and if you’ve ever seen a gentleman proudly steering a pink dog pushchair towards the pub… that’ll be Arthur. No fuss. No embarrassment. Just pure love and devotion.
Recently, sweet Lollie was diagnosed with SARDS (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome), which has caused irreversible sight loss. 💔 And while she can’t see the world the way she used to, she’s still very much in it — because Arthur and Row have made sure she doesn’t miss out on the life she loves.
Rowena commissioned me to create a portrait of Lollie, so I went to their home in Radcliffe-on-Trent to photograph her, and then created a Whimsical Whiskers & Wardrobes edit as a keepsake — something magical to celebrate who she is, not what she’s lost.
The RSPCA recently shared a piece about Lollie and Arthur, and it hit me right in the heart — a reminder that real strength isn’t loud… sometimes it’s as simple as a man, a dog, a pink pushchair and a pint. ❤️🐾RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre
Here’s to Arthur, Row, and precious Lollie — still living her best life, with her favourite people right beside her.
If you’ve seen them out and about, pop a little ❤️ in the comments for Lollie.
