🚨 MAJOR VEHICLE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We are incredibly proud to confirm that Jagdpanther 411 from the Weald Foundation will be attending Operation Market Harborough 2026.

Without a doubt, this is one of the rarest and most significant vehicles we have ever had confirmed for the show, and securing its attendance has been a huge achievement for the team behind the scenes.

This vehicle dating from 1945 served with the 116th Panzer Division until it’s capture by allied forces in the Ruhr Pocket several months later. This is certainly a rare vehicle, and the history behind it is testament to the Weald Foundation’s commitment to absolute accuracy.

Duarte Teixeira, Research and Communications Lead at the Weald Foundation, said: “This will be the first time Jagdpanther 411 has appeared at a major public event since 2019, and bringing it to Operation Market Harborough is a moment we have been working towards for some time. The event has built a strong reputation as one of the most immersive WW2 and post-war living history events, and we are looking forward to meeting visitors across the weekend, talking about the vehicle and the work of the Foundation.”

Tom Chandler, Workshop Manager at the Weald Foundation, added: “Getting Jagdpanther 411 ready for an event takes a real effort from everyone in the workshop, and the team has put in some excellent work to bring the vehicle to where it is now. Seeing it run again at a major public event is a proud moment for all of us, and we are looking forward to introducing visitors to it across the weekend.”

For us, this is exactly what Operation Market Harborough is about; bringing history to life and giving visitors the chance to experience vehicles and machines in an open environment.

We cannot wait to welcome them to our show for this first time and for working with us to bring this fantastic vehicle to our show. We will be sharing more posts about how you can help The Weald Foundation over the coming weeks with their vital work in restoring and preservation of their vehicles, as well as some exciting new ways to enjoy and experience our show.

If you haven’t already, grab your tickets now as we are expecting this to be a busy year!

Seeing as its Spirit of Wartime Sherwood next weekend, I thought id share some images of the event i took last year.

I will be there next weekend. Hopefully both days but I'll definitely be there on the Sunday.

Look forward to seeing what 2026 has in store for this fantastic event.

First show of 2026 ticked off for me today.
A tiny little event at Staveley in Derbyshire.
Only took two reenactor images as I felt very strange photographing people again after such a long time off. 😂

The Jeep is a 1944 Ford GPW that had been in France since the war until round about the year 2000 when the owners bought it.

The signatures on the inner bonnet are of Veterans the owners have come across and the cap badges represent the units some of them served with.
