Trent Valley Aviation Society

Trent Valley Aviation Society TVAS is a small friendly, East Midlands based aviation society that meets at Diseworth Village Hall every 3rd Monday evening in the month between 1930-2230.

Membership is £15 per year or £3 per meeting (first meeting free). All photographs are copyright.

On Monday 17th August TERRY CROFT will present a series of previously unseen aviation videos and slides from yesteryear.
This should be a fascinating evening as Terry travelled extensively during his forces days.

Great talk by DAVE GRETTON at this months TVAS meeting on Monday night. Fascinating insight into one of the UK's greatest 'aviators' Geoffrey de Havilland. Never realised how many different aircraft types he and his team designed from the DH4 right through to the DH146 (better known as the BAe 146).
Lots and lots of research went into this talk so thanks to Dave for his hard work.
Dave followed up with images from the trade event Private Flyer and Air Britain Fly-In held at Booker back in May.

Dave Gretton presents - de Havilland - man and aircraft. A fascinating talk on the man behind many UK aircraft types and some interesting facts on the types he was involved with from Tiger Moths through Vampires to the Comet.

The TVAS BBQ will be held at the Aeropark on Wed 24th June.
Gates open 19:30 and close 20:00 prompt.
TVAS members and their immediate family will be charged £3 on the gate - please bring the right change.

The next TVAS meeting (members only) will be the Annual General Meeting on Monday 15th June. Doors open from 1915pm for a 1945/2000pm start.
The AGM will be followed by a short presentation on my trip to South America including images from Buenos Aires (Jorge Newbury) and Sao Paulo Guarulhos airports.
