There aren't many perks of getting up at 4am but to see a busy Barn Owl hunting to feed young certainly is one of them. Had at least 2 hours to photograph and watch this beautiful creature, god knows how many miles these must travel in a hunting session.
Never seen a Swallow mobbing a bird of prey before but I was lucky to have the camera focused in on the owl when it happened

One of the reasons I visit the East Coast of Yorkshire is to photograph these stunning little creatures , the Puffin , an early start to the day including a huge amount of walking and searching and I managed to find one .

4 day weekend spent in Yorkshire , one of my fave places in the UK .. most of it was spent photographing Puffins ( more images of those this week ) but a wildlife break was taken and spent at May Beck .
Beautiful mature woodland with a lovely small stream running through it to a waterfall.

You know when you look at the back of the camera and get an excited tingle ....I got that when I see what I managed to capture .A small break in the evening weather made for some stunning light.

Following my ' 3 ' rule I moved to a different position and waited for this amazing creature to hunt across a marshy field.

Pin Mill , Suffolk.

A part of the River Orwell famous for its old ship wrecks , as time passes these slowly are disappearing into the salty water. Walking further past the ship wrecks into the woods youll find a mature forest littered with plants including bluebells.

I set myself a little task of taking these images with a 100mm Macro lense.

Tell me what you think ...
