This page has been created to help showcase a small selection from each set of photos I take of different aspects of my photography, the major part of which is music-related, such as equipment shots, stage sets, actual live performance or recording studios. I don't try to take great photos of mundane moments, I prefer to take rough and raw images of amazing happenings, so I hope you enjoy them, an

OMG, finally managed to get back out with a camera for short while the other morning, for about an hour or so.

Armed with one of my trusty Canon 60D DSLRs, I had a little explore of the business/industrial park where my workplace is located. The weather was very bright and the temperature was just about bearable. Such was the harshness of the morning sunlight, I opted to take the images in black and white, something that I think is best for urban landscape stuff.

Hope you enjoy the photos :-)

It's been a while since I had the opportunity to get out and about with a camera - blame the life and work thing. However, a few days ago I decided that enough was enough and set the alarm for an hour earlier than normal and made the effort to do a bit of urban landscape photography before I started...

Whilst on annual leave from the day job this week, I took a trip to the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall in Dumfries and Galloway and what an adventure that turned out to be. Not only walking the heady narrow pathways to the top of the 200ft waterfall, but also ascending a 2390ft hill called Mid Craig.

Of note is the top conservation work being done by the National Trust for Scotland to keep the area in the best possible state.

Yet another fantastic day out in the Scottish Borders and I hope you like the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them :-)

This has been one location I've been very keen to get back to with a serious camera since my first visit nearly 2 years ago, and, as I have been on annual leave from the day job this week, the opportunity arose so I took it and ran with it. The Grey Mare's Tail waterfall is located in the Moffat Wat...

A little adventure that I've been looking forward to doing - the Talla Falls and reservoir in the Scottish Borders.

An incredibly beautiful location and one that I think rivals the likes of Glencoe and the Isle of Skye. The reservoir is a beauty when seen from the hills and the cascading Talla Falls (or Talla Linns as they're known locally) are simply exquisite - next time I won't go when the skies are cloudless and the sun the sun is so bright :-D

Another thoroughly brilliant outing in the Scottish Countryside with the diminutive Canon M100 mirrorless camera :-)

And here's the second set - a delightful ittle location that's just a 15 minute drive from my Ayrshire home - Loudoun Hill :-)

This is a spot I've been wanting to get back to pretty much since moving to Scotland as it's a perfect location to practice a bit of landscape photography that's more about smaller hills and farming land. So foror this visit, I decided not to go to the top of Loudoun Hill, but rather focus on the th...

Finally managed to find time to sort out the photographs from a couple of recent adventures and here's the first.

This batch was taken at a lovely little spot about 45 mins from my Ayrshire home, I give you the Dalcairney Falls

For this wee adventure, I took myself down to the Dalcairney Falls, not far from Doon Bridge and about a mile or so from the small town of Dalmellington in South Ayrshire. I parked up next to an 18th century stone bridge, and when I got out of my car, I could hear the falls , thundering down into Da...

A brief excursion South of my Ayrshire home into Dumfries and Galloway, to visit Routin Brig and its quite splendid waterfalls and cascades.

I had intended to visit another location afterwards, however, I'm a prat and didn't pack spare batteries for the camera. Duh!!! I've had a little re-organise of my weekend, so that'll be happening tomorrow.

This was a lovely little spot and I'm planning to go back before the end of the year.

here's a link to the images from the day that are on my Flickr page.

Hope you like them :-)

This wee adventure took me South of my Ayrshire home into the glorious region of Dumfries and Galloway again. Routin Brig is a small bridge spanning Cairn Water. The brig has been around in a number of different forms since the 16th Century, with the current structure dating from the late 18th and e...

I recently had quite the adventure when I headed Northwards from my Ayrshire home to the magnificently beautiful Glen Etive and Glencoe.

Just had to be done.

Here's the photos from that day, not the best, but a cool little document of my photography journey here in my new home country of Scotland.

An adventure like no other as I headed Northwards from my Ayrshire home to the honeypot locations of Glen Etive and Glencoe. There is a reason why every photographer and his dog are so drawn to this incredible area - it's basically incredible. I had planned a different day to the one that happened,....

Yesterday, I took a drive down into the beautiful county of Dumfries and Galloway, here in Scotland. It's an outstanding area of natural beauty and rivals the honeypot locations such as Glencoe and the Isle of Skye. Fewer bloody tourists as well :-D

The object of my interest was the Buchan Burn Falls, near the village of Glentrool.

It was a grand day out and a return visit is definitely on the cards.

Hope you enjoy the images :-)

My Scotland journey continues with a visit to the glorious county of Dumfries and Galloway, in the Southern part of Scotland. It's a truly beautiful area and one that I will most definitely be exploring more over the next few months. This was also another opportunity to use my vastly reduced landsca...

It would seem that my posts on this page are akin to buses, nothing for ages, then three all at once :-D

Anyway, my wife and I went to the beautiful town of Callander today and whilst there we decided to visit the wonderful Bracklinn Falls. It's not the first time we've been there and it won't be the last. Callander is absolutely lovely and I would love to live there. Just sayin' you know.

Anyway, here's a few photos, and for the third time, taken with the Canon M100/18-135mm lens combo.

Enjoy :-)

This is another return visit for me, albeit a quick 'un as we were just passing through on our Sunday adventure from the Falls of Falloch to the fabulous little town of Callander (I love this little town so much, I could happily live there). The Bracklinn Falls lie on the course of the Keltie Water,...
