Over 5 years to complete, but I am delighted that finally I have something to share of the public art works I created for Queen’s Garden in Hull. This scheme is one of 4 that had evolved over the 5 years. Only 3 made it to completion. I was honoured to have had the opportunity to be involved with the redevelopment of the garden and to work collaboratively with .green.ltd to embed the artwork. did a fantastic job of fabricating the work and C R Reynolds for installing the work. Thank you Hull City Council for commissioning the work. ⭐️

A few more images of the ‘Scrimshaw Steps’ artwork leading into Queen’s Garden in Hull. A series of scrimshaw images along the full length of the steps. The drawings drape the steps and show multiple images of scrimshaw and the outlines of the whale bones used to scratch them into, edited together from the selection of Scrimshaw from Hull Maritime Museum.
