Today is the start of our ELASMOBRANCH ALPHABET!!! Learn 26 new species in 26 days! This is just a little bit of fun to make people aware of different types of elasmobranch in the world and their conservation status🤓

So A is for Angel shark!! 😇🦈 This type of shark commonly inhabits sandy seabeds close to 150m deep. Many species are now classified as CRITICALLY ENDANGERED⚠️ meaning that they need our help to conserve them!

Please comment any types of A elasmobranch species that you know!

Wouldn’t really class it as domesticating but more of a symbiotic relationship between 2 different species.

A symbiotic relationship between 2 species means they can benefit from eachother. The fish provide protection from any predators that might go after the shrimps. The shrimps, in return, provide food for the fish.

While humans domesticate plants and animals, these relationships are surprisingly rare in other species. Our new study found a species of fish that appears to have domesticated a kind of tiny shrimp.

England's Somerset county can now boast its first beaver dam in more than 400 years. Eurasion beavers, who were reintroduced to the National Trust's Holnicote Estate in Exmoor National Park at the start of 2020, began to build the small structure in October, and video cameras caught them gnawing on....

Just in case you missing it!

What is wrong with China and Russia? Then again, human rights ain’t a thing so I don’t think they’ll have many animal rights.

Today is a sad day 😔

More than 100 cetaceans have been found cooped up inside a series of tiny enclosures off Russia's Pacific coast near the southeastern city of Nakhodka. In
