I promise Aslan is a very elegant, well-composed model… most of the time. 😃

But for the final part of this series, I had to share these three, because they are just too good to leave out.

It’s so easy to focus only on the technically “perfect” images. The sharpest frame, the cleanest light, the most polished moment. But in reality, it’s often these kinds of photos that feel the most honest.

The funny faces, the unexpected expressions, the completely unplanned personality showing through… this is what I love most about photographing dogs. Not perfection, but character.

And Aslan absolutely delivered on that. 😁❤️

A few more from our Isle of Whithorn series. 🤍

Part of this series was photographed at Ninian’s Chapel, a small ruined chapel right by the coast. It’s dedicated to St Ninian, one of the earliest Christian missionaries in southern Scotland (around the 4th–5th century), and the remains you see today are believed to date back to medieval times, likely the 12th–13th century. Once a quiet place of worship for a small community, it was eventually left to the elements, and now only the stone ruins remain, shaped by time, wind, and the sea.
There’s something about it now that feels incredibly peaceful and timeless, like history and landscape quietly sharing the same space, without needing to say anything at all. ⛰️

Isle of Whithorn: a place that feels like it belongs somewhere between dreams and the sea. 🤍

Even though it’s just a short drive from home, it never feels ordinary. There’s something about the shoreline here that always slows everything down a little, like the world gets softer at the edges.

For this shoot, we spent time moving along the coast with Aslan. Simple portraits, and those small moments in between where everything just settles naturally into place. The light stayed gentle the whole time, and the sea barely moved, as if it was listening with us.

More little moments from this beautiful evening at Galloway House Gardens. ✨️🤍

In the meantime, we also spent a few days wandering through the Highlands, surrounded by endless landscapes, quiet evenings, and that familiar feeling of being very small beside nature in the best possible way. I’m so excited to share those photographs soon as well. 📷

But for now, I’m still holding onto these peaceful woodland paths, blooming flowers, and the gentle atmosphere of this evening. 🌿

Somewhere in between easing back into shooting again, we found ourselves at Galloway House Gardens. 🤍

Quiet woodland paths, soft evening light filtering through the trees, blooming flowers everywhere, and that peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to stay just a little longer.

There’s something so timeless about this place, calm, elegant, a little magical. It felt like the perfect backdrop for gentle, natural portraits surrounded by nature.

I already know this will be one of those regular spots for my dog photoshoots, and I really hope those who choose to book a session here will love it just as much. ✨

Hello everyone ❤️
After a long period of thinking, planning, and quietly preparing behind the scenes, The Dog Photo is finally stepping into a new chapter in Scotland.
Dog photography has been part of my life for several years in Budapest, and even after relocating, I always felt a strong pull to continue it here as well. Scotland, with its vast landscapes, soft light, endless walking paths, and quiet, untouched beauty, quickly became not only home, but also the perfect place for the kind of photography I love most.
This project has been growing slowly alongside my full-time job, which is a significant responsibility and remains my main focus, but dog photography is such a deep passion of mine, that I had a true urge to include it in my life. I’ve been working on The Dog Photo in all the time I had outside of work, step by step. From now on I’ll be dedicating that time to developing my work in dog photography, putting in all my energy, care, enthusiasm and everything I’ve learned so far.
The main goal, which has always been the same and still remains unchanged, is to create gentle, storytelling portraits shaped by nature and emotion. Capturing the essence of these lovely souls and the bond people share with them in a way that feels honest, warm, and a little bit magical.

1 éves a The Dog Photo Budapest! 🥹🐕📷

Azért jöttem most, hogy köszönetet mondjak nektek. Nektek, akik oly sokan bizalmat szavaztatok nekem ezalatt az egy év alatt, és nektek, akik olyan lelkesen követitek a munkásságomat. 🤎 Egy évvel ezelőtt indítottam el a weboldalamat, amit olyan erőteljes elszántsággal, tűzzel, és lelkesedéssel alkottam meg, hogy az 100 emberre elég lett volna. Hosszú út, olykor nehézségek, hajnalig tartó tanulás, és megszámlálhatatlan óra gyakorlás van mögötte, de a szívem összes szeretete benne van ebben a vállalkozásban. 🫶 Pont úgy, ahogy a fotózásaimban is, egytől egyig mindegyikben. Hálás vagyok érte, hogy itt vagytok velem, és őszintén remélem, hogy rengeteg közös fotózásban lesz még részünk a jövőben. 🤎

(U.i: Úgy érzékeltem a Facebooknak már nincs olyan nagy szerepe, és nem feltétlen igénylitek, hogy itt is aktív legyek, inkább az Instagram. De annyi visszajelzés és érdeklődés jött az elmúlt időszakban Facebookon keresztül is, hogy természetesen ide is visszatérek a tartalmakkal. 🤎)

És eljött. 🌸 Még ha a reggeli hűvös idő nem is érzékelteti annyira, a tavasz bizony visszafordíthatatlanul elkezdődött, és gyönyörűvé varázsolja a természetet. 🌿🤎

A belváros közepén, a forgalmas utcák között is bújnak meg olyan helyek, ahol az állat- és növényvilág olyannyira elkezdett élénkülni, hogy már-már elfelejti az ember, mi is veszi körül a parkon túl. Az emberek mosollyal az arcukon, a kora tavaszi nap sugarait próbálják magukba szívni, a kutyusok pedig még nagyobb lelkesedéssel szaladgálnak és fedezik fel az új évszak illatait. 🐕 Egy fél órát töltöttem kint, azalatt készítettem néhány fotót. 📷

Bár azt garantálni, hogy még hosszú ideig ilyenek maradnak a fák, nem tudom, abban egészen biztos vagyok, hogy az éledező természet a virágzó fák mellett is rengeteg szépséget tartogat mostantól.

Sziasztok kedves kutyagazdik, leendő gazdik, kutyuskedvelők és minden The Dog Photo Budapest követő! ❤️ Egy kis pihenő után visszatértem ide is, és alig vártam, hogy elkezdhessem megmutatni nektek az elmúlt időszak fotósorozatait. 😊 Ő például itt Bulus, egy lengyel hegyipásztor, és azt hiszem a legnagyobb kutyus, akit valaha fotóztam. 📷 Ezúttal a ködös, hűvös reggel, hangulatos fenyőerdő, a még kitartó de már felszálló köd, korai napsütés, valamint a gazdi és kutya közti erős kötelék volt a főszerepben. 🐕🔗👤

Az akkori időjáráshoz képest ma meg egy szál pólóban kirándultunk és elképesztően jól esett. 😁✨
