I have been meaning to write this post for some time but couldn't bring myself to! I have taken the really hard and sad decision to hang up my camera for good. I would like to thank all the lovely families I've had the pleasure of photographing since June 2009, you made my job so easy!

I had also considered closing Larchmill, as being self employed for 13 years has finally taken its toll - but having found myself a part time job (which is totally different and I totally LOVE!), the pressure (mentally and financially) has been taken off a little, so I have decided to keep that going for now.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last 13 years X

So, nearly 12 years after Pam Hordon Photography was formed, its time for a change!

Life has a funny way of working out. 12 months ago my main income stream closed down overnight and my small sideline that is Larchmill, took over. I have loved seeing the transition of my new business and now its time for my first born to spring back into life and what better way than with a rebrand!

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

I thought I would post an update. I have taken the hard decision to not renew my website for 2021. This is a huge thing for me as I have had my website since 2009 but its a cost that I can't justify. I have had no income from photography since February 2019 but I still have costs (business insurance and bank fees). So pamhordon.com will be no more but I am still here and still taking photos (although mainly on my iphone!) and hope to be back taking photos of your nearest and dearest very soon ❤️

Hello!! Just thought i'd give a little update as it's been quite some time. Well this year hasn't been the best has it, and definitely not for photographers! I haven't done any photography work since February which i'm gutted about - no weddings, no families and no schools :(

I am grateful that I have another business, I started Larchmill last year as a little sideline and when the country came to a standstill in April/May, lots of people wanted to buy gifts to send to their loved ones and I'm extremely grateful to everyone who has supported me.

So, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here, I'm not 100% sure what the rules currently are for family shoots but will get this confirmed and hopefully announce some available weekends - Autumn is my favourite time of year for photos!

This amazing weather would have been perfect for family sessions ... lets hope it continues.

I am starting to think about what to do when all this is over ... I would like to recognise key workers so will either be offering reduced session fees to key workers, or the amount I would reduce by to be donated to charity. I haven't decided which way round yet, any comments gratefully received!
