Im in my 6th week of photographing our patch of Red campion in our garden. This week I am using various filters, some home made ones are giving lovely results such as this one. I will be uploading a new video to Youtube soon all about this project -to create dreamy wildflower photos with 11 different lenses.

Ive been photographing the same patch of Red campion flowers in our garden for almost 6 weeks now. Just sitting outside in the garden with a different lens for a short while a couple of times a week with a different lens or two and seeing the different results I get with each lens. This one was taken using my Helios lens and an extension tube on my Sony A7iii today. The project is more about mindfulness than getting perfect photos. Its about sitting in nature with my camera for a couple of hours a week, regardless of the weather, watching the changes in the garden, watching wildlife and taking a few snaps. With the photos it is more about letting go of usual composition constraints and trying to take photos with feeling rather than technical skills, trying to capture the feeling of this patch of flowers on different days, in varying light and weather. Ive really enjoyed myself doing this and will be putting together a video about my project / experience, sharing my thoughts and the images taken with 11 different lens.

Another stacked pic of this cute little Fork tailed flower bee. This one is a focus stack of 54 photos taken using the OM1 plus 90mm macro lens, Godox 860iii flash plus Cygnustech diffuser. I have a short humorous video about this on my Youtube channel - which might confirm that I am slightly mad 🙂 Watch it and make your own mind up. This video could confirm that I am mad as a hatter 🙂 https://youtu.be/TM-Bn2vXjmI

Due to popular demand I have created my first video solely on taking macro ICM photos on a phone, it is now live on Youtube. Its just a short one - around 6 minutes and very easy going for those who want to get creative with their phones.

Apexel very kindly gifted me the 10-20x zoom macro lens to try out ...
