šŸŽ„ 3 Minute Wedding Highlight | Mhari & Dylan

Some wedding days deserve more than just a few seconds.

This is Mhari & Dylan’s wedding day at the stunning Kelham House, told in three minutes.

From the quiet moments of the morning preparations to the emotion of the ceremony at the St Michael’s and All Angels church, Averham - the laughter with family and friends, golden hour portraits and an unforgettable evening celebration, this video brings together the moments that made their day uniquely theirs.

While photographs freeze moments in time, highlight videos let you hear the laughter, see the movement and relive the atmosphere all over again.

If you’re looking for a way to experience your wedding day long after it’s over, this is exactly why we offer Wedding Content Creation alongside our photography.

Congratulations again, Mhari & Dylan. Thank you for trusting Amy and me to capture such an incredible day. šŸ¤

Another brilliant day second shooting, with Robert Carter Photography this time at the stunning Swancar Farm Country House for Mel & Jorden’s wedding. šŸ“ø

From the moment I arrived, this was one of those weddings where there was always something happening. Plenty of emotion, loads of laughter and so many little moments between family and friends that made it an absolute joy to photograph.

And then there was the entrance into the wedding breakfast… šŸ˜‚šŸ”„ Safe to say Mel & Jorden knew how to make an entrance and the whole room absolutely erupted!

Days like this are exactly why I enjoy second shooting. I can concentrate on finding those different angles, reactions and moments happening away from the main action — adding another side to the story of the day while working alongside the lead photographer.

My first time photographing a wedding at Swancar Farm Country House too, and what a venue. A fantastic team, beautiful surroundings and so many opportunities for photographs throughout the day.

Huge congratulations to Mel & Jorden — what a day! ā¤ļø

Another venue ticked off the bucket list.

My first wedding at Kelham House Country Manor, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

The day began with Mhari getting ready at the venue alongside her bridal party. As the morning went on, the nerves started to creep in—but the moment she stepped into her dress and shared an emotional first look with her dad, everything changed.

A short drive took us to St Michael’s & All Angels Church, Averham, where Dylan and his groomsmen waited patiently for the ceremony to begin.

After a beautiful service, everyone returned to Kelham House for a confetti-filled welcome before spending the afternoon celebrating in the sunshine with family and friends. The weather couldn’t have been better, and seeing everyone making the most of the gardens created such a relaxed atmosphere.

A big thank you to the team at Kelham House for looking after us throughout the day with a fantastic three-course meal and plenty of water in the summer heat—it was very much appreciated!

It’s easy to see why so many couples choose this venue, and after finally photographing a wedding here, I can’t wait to be back.

One of the biggest parts of my job has nothing to do with my camera.

Yes, I’m there to document your wedding day, but I’m also there to help you experience it.

Sometimes that means calming nerves before the ceremony.

Sometimes it’s reminding you to take five minutes together.

And sometimes… it means giving you a little nudge into the middle of the dance floor. šŸ˜…

Those are often the moments people remember most—not because they’re perfectly planned, but because they happened naturally.

The more present you are, the more genuine your memories become. And that’s exactly what I want you to see every time you look back at your photographs.

Behind the Lens šŸ“ø

I spend most of my time capturing other people’s stories… so here’s a little bit of mine.

There’s a lot more to me than the guy holding the camera. Husband. Adventure-seeker. Weekend explorer. Someone who thrives on real moments, not staged ones.

The way I photograph weddings comes from how I live life — chasing genuine connection, embracing the unexpected, and finding beauty in the in-between.

If you’re the kind of couple who values real over perfect, laughter over posing, and moments over trends… we’ll get along just fine.

A recent styled shoot at Newark Town Hall—and one that was a little different for me.

For the first time, I was the only photographer, which meant I had complete control over how the shoot flowed. Rather than relying on lots of posing, I approached it exactly the same way I do on a wedding day.

I gave the models small prompts, simple movements and little things to do, then let them make it their own.

That freedom is what creates natural expressions and genuine interaction. People stop thinking about the camera and start enjoying the moment instead.

It’s the same approach I take with every couple I photograph. You don’t need to know how to pose or perform—you just need to be yourselves. I’ll guide you where needed, then let the real moments unfold.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this shoot happen. It was a brilliant opportunity to create, experiment and show that even in a styled shoot, authentic moments will always be my focus.

Is a second photographer actually worth it?

This is probably the easiest way I can show you.

For Tash & Depps’ wedding, Ellie was the lead photographer and I joined her as her second.

While Ellie was photographing Tash getting ready, I could be somewhere completely different capturing Depps and the guys.

And once everyone came together, it meant we could photograph the same moments from completely different perspectives.

One of us could concentrate on what was happening in front of us while the other watched for the reactions, people and little moments happening elsewhere.

It isn’t about getting twice as many photographs.

It’s about getting more of the story.

Two preparations.
Two perspectives.
Two sets of reactions.
And moments that would otherwise be impossible for one person to capture at the same time.

That’s when having a second photographer really becomes worth it.
