This was taken before the show even started.
The stage lights were off. The seats were empty.
The kid—bored out of his mind—sat slumped, waiting for rehearsal.
And then this happened.
One of the performers, still half in costume, peeks through the curtain and starts goofing around—no audience, no spotlight, just trying to make a kid laugh.
I caught the shot on instinct. It’s a little grainy. Technically imperfect.
But every time I look at it, I feel it.
This is why I shoot.
Not to freeze picture-perfect moments. But to chase the little unscripted truths that happen before anyone yells “action.”
I’m Craig. I shoot portraits, families, weddings, events, and all the beautiful in-betweens.
