I've always liked this natural style of photos like this one! But thought, I should be creating more "perfect" family snaps, some sweet faces to put on a wall, joy and cuddles alone ;) That was before I came across the type of photography, that was not so widespread at all! Unposed, documentary type of photoshoot, for me, lies at the far end of the spectrum of family photography. We have of course studio photoshoots, then a lifestyle family photography, which is lovely and natural, but with matching outfits, smiles, nice hairstyles and all that jazz. And more towards the end of the spectrum there is a type of family photography, that is a bit like a typical family. With with a mix of daily routines, chores, activities, a variety of emotions that can change from highs to lows back and forth (and that's ok!), with homes that are meant to be lived in, and not spotless show homes. We are real people, we need real photos! We need unposed family photography!
