Just over a year ago, Hannah and her families at Mini Monty's were kind enough to let me come to her gorgeous setting to help me build my Early Years portfolio - so being asked to come back this year was a proud moment for me.

I left Early Years almost 2 years ago and despite that, Mini Monty's felt like home (albeit an emotional one, as the last time I was there Hannah was seeing my daughter off on her journey to school).

I can't tell you how lovely it was getting to know her new cohort - and hopefully giving their parents some wonderful memories with Hannah to look back on as fondly as I do. 🧡

Is there something your child does that you never want to forget?

Looking back through old pictures is something I do a lot, and I'm always reminded of things I'd completely forgotten about; the endless leaf hunts around the local area, the quiet way she'd sort her rocks by size or "laxing" right in the middle of my bed. Things that were so ingrained in our lives I thought they'd last forever.

But then they didn't. It's something I'm conscious of now when I'm capturing my toddlerhood for my son - I'm more conscious of the things I want to remember, because I know they won't last forever (and my memory's already not the best). Like the way he yells "CAR!" at any and every passing vehicle, the tight grip he keeps on Lemmy Lamb 100% of the time and the how he drops whatever he's doing to dance as soon as he hears a beat.

For me, documenting things like this is far more valuable than those organised, thought-out family photos, and they're exactly why Flora & Frame exists.

Bank Holiday Fun 🎡☀️

Highly recommend spending a heatwave on the coast if you really like becoming bankrupt over ride tokens and children sitting on your picnic. (But also dance parties at the fair and the biggest tired smiles you’ve ever seen).
