When I began to consider leaving my role in Early Years and finally start Flora & Frame, before there was a name or a plan or even a thought on where to begin, there were giddy voice notes to friends - because I'd finally worked out exactly what I wanted to photograph.
The lives of children.
Not just muddy boots, scraped knees and messy hair (which I do love), but the relationships they build and the interests they develop. It was something I'd spent almost 7 years observing professionally, and it felt like a waste to not include it in my portfolio, which is why I decided to include Early Years settings in my plan.
I'll never get tired of spotting the little moments that mean the world - not just to the people in the photos, but to those who weren't there to witness moments like this first-hand.
