A quiet afternoon exploring the New Forest this week. 🌿🦌

Plans changed at the last minute, so instead of heading to Sidmouth, I stayed local and took a short walk through the Forest. It turned into a lovely afternoon, and I managed to capture a few moments along the way.

Sometimes the unplanned walks are the ones that surprise you. 📷😊

Fallow bucks are starting to lose the velvet from their antlers, with some already looking almost completely clean. 🦌

It’s fascinating to see this change happening while we’re still in August. The rut is slowly getting closer.

A lovely day on Brownsea Island, where the red squirrels can be a little more shy at this time of year, but I was lucky enough to spot one! 🐿️

Despite the recent heatwaves that affected much of the UK, Brownsea Island remains a beautiful and peaceful place to explore. A thoroughly enjoyable day surrounded by nature. 🌿📸
