Published in print! Absolutely thrilled and proud to be published in a Special Edition of .magazine.

This is a collection of my film and digital work from personal projects solo hiking around the world. I'm grateful and excited that people will have the chance to share in these moments and be able to take the time to enjoy the images in print. I've never seen some of these film photos in print before!

Big thank you to .magazine for the collaboration and to for the consideration.

If you would like to purchase a copy, see my link in bio or DM for a limited signed version.

Print is not dead.

All film captured within 48 hours in Australia πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί and ChinaπŸ‡¨πŸ‡³.

1-2: The Blue Mountains are named after the blue haze caused by the eucalpytus trees. I also got to see wild cockatoo.

3-6: Navigated a sub-freezing Shanghai, gawked at its grand buildings, beautiful gardens and enticing street food.

7-8: The magnificent Sydney Opera House and blue harbour.

Stargazing from Mueller Hut 🌌

Getting up at 3am for moonset after a big day of hiking is always hard but being surrounded by fellow astronomy enthusiasts made it easier. Staying up a mountain in a dark sky reserve when the conditions were this good would have been criminal to sleep through.

I hauled up extra camera gear for this opportunity. Some of the most beautiful night skies I've ever witnessed have been on hikes but photography was never my priority. This time I had more patience, although semi-frozen extremities, to set up my gear and endure the infamous gusts of wind to capture the Milky Way arm; magellanic clouds and shooting stars. Some of which can only be observed from the southern hemisphere. I also managed a quick flash from my head torch to illuminate Mueller Hut in the foreground.

🎞 Film shots of my absolute favourite area of NZ in the south island. The stunning beauty of Aoraki, the Ho**er Valley and yes, that real turquoise brilliance of Lake Tekapo. πŸ”

Can't wait to share my digital shots of this area, especially the overnight hike up to Mueller Hut. 🌌

Film frames from the Welsh adventure playground that Tenzing and Hillary trained for Everest in πŸ”πŸŽž

This is the Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa (highest mountain in Wales) Horseshoe hike; it goes mostly around the lake, Llyn Llydaw. Yr Wyddfa is the only one you walk up, the rest you scramble with your hands.

1. Lake Llyn Llydaw
2. West Peak Y Lliwedd
3. Crib Goch - the frightening knife-ridge
4. Looking back at Snowdon / Yr Wydffa
5. The Watkin Path and Yr Wydffa under cloud
6. Resting on a boulder admiring more Llyn Llydaw

One of my favourite hikes to date.

Film captures of two very beautiful sunset hikes from the same town. Forever grateful to the person who dropped their wide brim hat at the base of the mountain so I could use it for shade on the way up. I returned it to where I had found it when I went back down, hopefully to someone who also needed it πŸ‘’
