As an employer, hire people that will bring happiness, a difference, a big imagination and kindness to the workplace. What is success without a bit of failure? Errors are good! And here is why:
If no mistakes were made, there would be no lessons learned. If everything always went right, there would be no need to look at things from a different angle which can widen your creativity! It's time to be specific in your social media goals! Are you looking to hire a social media manager to reach out to people, reply to messages and comments and track analytics? Or a social media content creator to take photos, videos and editing? Or maybe someone who does both?!
When hiring someone to join your team as a PAYE be specific on what your social media goals are for your business. If seeking a freelancer, which packages do they offer that would be the one for you?

I think one of the main reasons for creative block, or struggling to think of new ideas is that we often catch ourselves thinking about the BIG stuff. The long term goals. Goals that will take a long time to reach. We must not forget about the small and short term!
Taking things step by step will not only reduce the chances of you getting overwhelmed and disappointed, but its also the small actions that lead to the big results! Slow and steady wins the race my friends!

Monday Reminder! 📣 When creating content for yourself or others, it should be fun, inspiring and something that you're proud of! It shouldn't feel like a chore or make you feel uninspired.
If you are struggling with content creation for your own platforms take a break and come back to it. If it is content creation for a client, talk and work with them on ways you can create photos, graphics and/or videos that is exciting for you, the client and will engage their target audience!

Coming for previous experience and hearing stories from other aspiring freelance social media manager and/or content creators, it's important to know the difference between what a social media manager does, and what a marketing and sales person does.
If you are a business looking to hire a social media manager, their role is for social media only. When adding things liked; web design, sales and other things into the job description, it will be hard for the social media person to concentrate on getting the online audience you want, engaging and replying to customers and followers as well as creating great content!
There are steps you can take to ensure all of your other needs in sales and Marketing is met 😁
