Over the last few months l’ve been exploring my Grandad’s photographic archive.

Before this I hadn’t really explored archival photography at all, but its reshaped my focus and is something I definitely want to explore more in the future!

This project was a personal one for me. I learnt more about my Grandads past by listening to him talk through his slides,
RAF life, family, his makeshift darkrooms, and why analogue will always beat digital (according to him!).

Going through the process of scanning and restoring old images taught me not only technical side of analogue, but also my connection with my family history.

Another test shoot for my upcoming project!

For this shoot i wanted to explore with poses and props the most. And it was really enjoyable to do as not only did we get some cool shots, but also had fun during it. I’ll definitely be referencing and using this in my final shoot!
