So I recently acquired a Sigma 150-600mm lens. After selling my Tamron 150-600mm a few years ago I missed being able to capture birds in detail. Bird photography in a tough genre to do well, not only does it require the right gear it also requires time and a lot of patience learning the birds behavior. I'm very much a novice! 🀣
Here we have a European Goldfinch, very common in the UK.
I have a feeder set up in my garden with a peach just above the food. πŸ™‚

'Reflection Drama'
A dramatic sky always draws me in and this time you get two for the price of one.
Black & white really makes this scene come alive.
Taken at Beaulieu Cliff View, Bexhill.

Crangon Cottages (Coastguard Cottages) Birling Gap, East Sussex
A truly unique slice of British coastline.

These historic coastguard cottages cling to the edge of the dramatic chalk cliffs at Birling Gap, overlooking the stunning Sussex shoreline and the iconic Seven Sisters cliffs. Originally built in the late 1800s for coastguard families, the cottages today are a striking reminder of nature’s power β€” slowly being reclaimed by the sea due to coastal erosion.

Headed over to Bodiam Castle hoping to find a frozen moat, I wasn't disappointed.

I was going through some of my images from 2025 and came across this one, don't know how I missed it 🀣 Anyway, this was taken back in June at Hastings Pier.

Opened the curtains to a snowy scene this morning. Snow is rare in these parts so I made the most of it. Jumped in the car, struggled up the hill eventually arriving at Ninfield rec where I launched the drone and got these images. Hoping for more snow soon! Video to followπŸ™‚

First shot of 2026. I went out with the intention of shooting with the drone. Got to the beach, opened the bag, forgot the controller 🀣 Nope, I'm not suffering with a hangover! it's age, that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it πŸ˜‰
Luckily I had my trusty camera, good job too because what started out as a disappointing sunset qu**ky turned in to something much better. Happy New Year to all my followers! πŸ™‚
