My obnoxiously large lens and I took ourselves down to Birmingham this weekend for the Starfury Events convention celebrating all things The Boys, Gen V (and dare I say, Vought Rising 👀).

Colby Minifie Valorie Curry Aya Cash were a delight to watch in the panels I could get to and it’s been such a lovely chill weekend. Disco tonight to round out the weekend and then we’ll be back to the glorious home away from home Hilton Birmingham Metropole for Code Red Convention in March 🫡 👨‍🚒 🔥

On my way to a new venue for the TrickyMC Edinburgh gig on Sunday, I sent up my usual prayers to the lighting gods for ‘anything but red’ and the lighting gods heard me and said BET… and delivered yellow spotlights. That’s on me guys. Never ask too much of the lighting gods. A humbling reminder I need to upskill my colour editing 🤣 and that the opposite of yellow in the colour wheel is blue.

My lack of colour editing aside the venue space was fab and they did honey tequila so absolutely my new favourite gig spot in Edinburgh 😉

I’m half out the door to a Starfury Events convention this weekend so see you all on the other side hoping to post more from the gig next week.

Thank you The 3 Sisters Bar Edinburgh for the hospitality and honey tequila

Well done to Mark Sheppard for delivering after a long con weekend and the rest of the gang Paul Carella - 'The Captain' Billy Moran Mandy Clarke for making Sundays fun again. See you next time 🫡

IT’S BON JOVI DAY AT WEMBLEY!!!!!! Have I mentioned I’m off at see Bon Jovi today??

03/09/2026

The gig that sparked my love of music photography almost 20 years ago would you believe. In honour of Bon Jovi back at Wembley Stadium tomorrow where they belong, I dug out my shots from when they opened the The O2 in 2007 - some re-edited, some previously unshared at all. I’m going through the rest right now with a big smile on my face and can’t wait to share more especially of a few I got of Richie Sambora with Jon. Can’t bring my camera tomorrow but I’ll be bringing my singing voice (and 😂😎).
