Did you know how much I love photographing maternity sessions? 🥹

And this one is particularly special to me!

Everyone, meet Lacra!

I met Lacra a few years ago when we worked together at a dental practice, and we've had so much love and admiration for each other ever since.

And now, I've had the privilege of photographing her very first pregnancy! And I really mean privilege, because being trusted to capture such a beautiful chapter in someone's life means so much to me.

Baby Vlad will be here very soon, and I honestly can't wait to share these photographs with you all!

For now, here's a little behind the scenes from our session in my home studio. I'm actually editing her photographs as I write this, and I'm already in love with what we created!

There is something I absolutely love about creating a campaign: seeing a brand come to life in a way that perhaps even its owner hadn't imagined yet.

And that's exactly what happened when I created the AW26 campaign for Studio Lunair London

Before I even pick up my camera, I'm already creating.

I'm thinking about the brand, the people behind it, the collection, the colours, the textures, the locations, the little details that might go unnoticed but make all the difference.

Because beautiful photographs are wonderful. But beautiful photographs with intention, identity and a story behind them? That's something else entirely.

For this campaign, we brought together fashion, styling, beautiful women and London itself to tell the story of a collection.

And seeing it all come together is one of my favourite parts of what I do.

Now, imagine what we could create for your brand.

You can spend years getting ready for something and still find a reason not to begin.

I know, because I did exactly that.

I'd been photographing for about eight years when I first started thinking about teaching and running workshops. I had so much I wanted to share, but I kept doubting myself. Maybe I needed to learn more, gain more experience, be better...

That was back in 2018. And even now, after 16 years in photography, I'm still learning!

But here's what I want you to understand. People will judge what they see without knowing half of your story or everything you've worked so hard to build.

Don't give their opinions more weight than your own experience.

And please, don't spend your whole life preparing for a dream you're too afraid to pursue.

Get out of that box. Take the risk. Trust what you've built and give yourself permission to begin.

You don't need certainty to take the next step. You need the courage to take it anyway.

Turning 46 yesterday, I find myself questioning things. Not because I have all the answers, but because I have learnt to look at things differently.

And photography has taught me so much about people.

I observe how women see themselves, how they communicate, how they build their businesses and, sometimes, how difficult it can be to recognise just how much they've grown.

And I include myself in that.

Over the years, I've changed the way I work, the way I create and even the way I understand my own value.

I believe we should never stop learning, questioning or paying attention to what's happening around us. But I also believe that evolving doesn't mean becoming someone else.

Sometimes, it's simply about allowing the world to see who we've become.

So, these are a few of my honest thoughts. From a woman who happens to be a photographer, who has just turned 46 and who is still learning, observing and evolving.

And I'd love to know something...
