What a strange year it has been. This poor couple had a delay, venue change, and lots of curve balls thrown their way but look at how absolutely gorgeous they were on their wedding day! I've been quiet over here. We've been busy moving across the pond and getting settled. On Saturday, I was able to capture the wedding of this sweet and beautiful couple. Their day was filled with every emotion; anticipation, joy, remembrance...I can't wait to share more with you! One of my favorite parts of the day was sneaking them away for a few sunset portraits. Jake and Ellie got a minute alone to snuggle and let the day sink in while we chased some gorgeous light. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs.!

This couple is the definition of resilience. None of us could have imagined a global pandemic shattering plans for all spring brides and grooms and although Covid-19 may have thrown a loop in their plans, Issac and Lizzie quickly adapted and decided to celebrate their love on their original wedding day. We met in the mountains to watch them exchange vowels surrounded only by their parents and siblings. Although it was difficult for them to not have friends and family present, their day was absolutely beautiful. I'm working on a blog post to document their full day and can't wait to share it with you all but for now, I just had to share this one because we have to have a sense of humor during this all, right?

I'm hoping to spread some beauty on everyone's feeds the next couple weeks. I think we could all use a break from the news every now and again. Although i'm going to miss shooting, i'm happy to have a few last sessions to finish up editing as well as some extra time to get motivated on my personal projects that I've been slacking on. For now, here's a quick share of one gorgeous momma!

I'm so grateful I got to meet my new nephew and grab some newborn photos before the Corona virus quarantines began. There is so much to worry about right now but I'm trying to remember to count my blessings and enjoy the opportunities brought about by this challenging time. I'm enjoying spending quality time with my family and having time to exercise, catch up on personal editing, and work on some personal development. We will overcome this challenging time together.

Sending another final gallery and I just wanted to pop in to share and say thank you to all of my clients for being so patient this fall. This has been my busiest season yet and i'm plowing through all these sessions as fast as I can. 5 more family sessions and 1 more wedding to finish editing and then i'm taking a winter break! Whew! Can't wait to see what next year has in store for me.

Getting ready to send out this gallery and I wanted to share an unconventional favorite. I love the excitement, pride and magic that comes along with losing teeth at this age. In our household, I think we're going to be singing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" soon and you better bet it will be documented in plenty of photographs.

I love this capture so much. It reminds me of my oldest loving on my belly when I was pregnant with my youngest. Look at big sister giving the baby a kiss. So precious.

In my opinion, there is no better Christmas gift than photographs. Love that these grown kiddos are gifting their mom with family portraits to hang on her walls. They even included their childhood pup. How cute is he?!?!

Last night I got to spend some time with this sweet couple and their beautiful family. We got super lucky when the clouds finally parted and this gorgeous golden light kissed the end of our session. Meg is my go-to hair stylist in VA. She is so talented! I'm so lucky to have found her and grateful to get to capture her adorable family.

I had such a spectacular time celebrating the union of this sweet and stunning couple. Their day was classy, sentimental, and simply perfect. The brides bouquet was crafted with jewelry from her late mother and grandmother, they rented out one of their favorite restaurants for their intimate ceremony and reception, and we strolled through the beautiful city backdrop adding memories of newlywed bliss to spots they frequent during their everyday commutes.
