I was pretty devestated that we would entirely miss the solar Eclipse today, but due to a streak of lucky timing and a fast luggage conveyor belt at London’s Gatwick airport we managed to find the most wholesome viewing party ever.
A few dozen people trying to find a spot in the sun on an old disused off ramp and one sweet person sharing her eclipse sunnies for everyone to use.
There was also a younger boy who had made a camera oscura style viewer out of tin foil and an old cereal box.
This was such a wholesome gathering and I feel very blessed we got to witness this after a lovely family holiday.
Can’t wait to see all my friends around the world and their professional setup results, for now here’s my try with the iPhone 17 Pro and the Blackmagic camera app 📸

We are in Spain for a wedding and our hotel has the most beautiful patch of wildflowers I have ever seen in my life!! There’s also a bunch of small and really big bees and jumping spiders around and it’s safe to say I’ve missed being in nature. All clips shot at 60fps on iPhone 17 Pro with the 0.5 lens as it allows for macro / close focus shots, slowed down for smoothness and edited in the Edits app (which finally allows you to reverse clips thank yoouu).

Little gimbal big fun. I highly rate this OM7P, I've used it on a handful of shoots now and am impressed with it. Solid tracking, great battery life, good stability.
