Simon Barwick Art I am an abstract artist working in oils and acrylics on large scale canvases.

My paintings are informed by an intellectual rigour that interrogates the relationships between colour, tone and texture as well as between medium and support.

So honoured to be selected to be displayed at the Brisbane Rotary Art Show 2026 with my painting "Yellow, Blue, Red, Green". It's acrylic on canvas and sized 90x120cm.

It'll be shown at Central Plaza 1 on the corner of Queen and Greek Streets, Brisbane CBD from 20-31 July.

The colours you see will depend on light in the room, just as your perceptions are led by what's around you. Take time to look, and ask yourself if you see just another painting, or the way you look at the painting.
