Forget Netflix 🍿

The best show in town last night was on Primrose Hill— sunset, a sea of people enjoying the summer evening, and the Buck Moon rising over London's skyline. Hard to beat that view!

I’m honoured to have my photograph from Jordan included in Traces of Humanity, an international exhibition exploring identity, history, memory, and the traces of human connection that link us across cultures and generations. The exhibition spanned London, Margate and Gibraltar.

This image of the Monastery was taken in Petra, one of my favourite places in Jordan, and speaks beautifully to the exhibition’s theme 'Traces of Humanity'.

If you’re in or visiting Gibraltar, do stop by Traces of Humanity at the Gustavo Bacarisas Gallery. The exhibition is open until 31 July, and admission is free.

Thank you to Philippa Beale and Chloe Hughes for curating this wonderful exhibition, organised in conjunction with the Gibraltar Cultural Services (on behalf of the Ministry of Culture) and Lloyd's Art Group. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to exhibit alongside such a talented and inspiring group of artists.

I’d also like to thank my friend Pau Ling, who is exhibiting a beautiful Chinese calligraphy piece on copper carrying the meaningful words: “Stagnation sparks change, change brings continuity.” I wasn’t able to make it to Gibraltar myself, so I’m especially grateful to her for sending me photographs of my work in the exhibition.

Read this before you visit Tajikistan.

We planned a day trip from Uzbekistan to Tajikistan’s Seven Lakes… and never made it.

We did everything right (or so we thought).
Applied for our visas 4 weeks in advance - we decided pretty late we would do the day trip.
We paid for the required invitation letter from a tour company.

Closer to the time, we all chased the visa office multiple times via email - and still got nothing. By the time our visas finally came through 6 weeks later, we were already back home 🫠 What a shame!

What surprised me most is how common this seems to be. We found loads of similar stories online, and friends travelling in Central Asia met others dealing with the exact same delays.

The tricky part is that the visa is only valid for 3 months… so you can’t apply too early either.
If we did it again, I wouldn’t rely on the government application process myself. Our guide told us tour companies tend to have much better success getting visas processed on time — and that’s 100% the route I’d take next time.

I really hope the process improves, because situations like this don’t just affect travellers — they impact local tourism too and the people who rely on that income.

We may have missed Tajikistan this time, but hopefully we will make it there one day. If anyone from the Tajikistan government or visa office sees this, please do something to improve your service 🙏

If seeing the tulip fields in the Netherlands is on your bucket list… read this first 🌷

After visiting during peak bloom, here’s everything I wish I knew before going — from when to visit, where to find the best fields, how to avoid crowds, and how to explore them properly (without damaging the flowers!).

My biggest tips:
– Rent a car and explore the countryside - imagine driving through these incredible fields!
– Stay outside the city, no need to pay for expensive hotels in Amsterdam
– Go early morning or late evening for the best light (and fewer people)
– Rent a bike and explore beyond the main spots
– Always respect the fields — they’re working farms, not tourist attractions
– I don't normally pay for seats on flights, but it's worth bagging a window seat to see the fields from the sky
– Keukenhof is beautiful but go first thing to avoid the insane crowds

With planning and when done right, this is one of the most magical spring experiences in Europe. I've been twice now and can't wait to go back!

Uzbekistan blew us away 🇺🇿

Ancient Silk Road cities, jaw-dropping architecture, the kindest people, incredible food, and all without breaking the bank. As a woman travelling there, I felt completely safe and free to explore. And the trains and metro system - it puts the UK trains and London underground to shame.

Honestly - it makes me sad that more people aren't talking about this place and visiting.

If Uzbekistan isn't on your bucket list yet — it really needs to be.

Don’t make the mistake of skipping Dolmabahçe Palace when visiting Istanbul.

Built with ~35 tonnes of gold (worth $2–3B today), this level of extravagance drove the financial collapse of the Ottoman Empire… and yet, it’s one of the most breathtaking and opulent places I’ve ever seen.

Most people miss it—but you really shouldn’t. We spent over 5 hours in there exploring all the different parts and the grounds!

And finally, you can now take photos inside Dolmabahçe Palace as of early 2026.

These are my top 15 bucket list wildlife trips (so far) — with my top 5 ranked, and 10 more incredible experiences in no particular order. I started from 15 with the best saved for the last. A bonus last slide with the cutest animal ever 🥹

Putting this together has made me realise just how much I’ve already been lucky enough to experience… and honestly, I feel so grateful for it.

From witnessing the Great Migration in Maasai Mara to swimming with orcas in Norway, seeing polar bears in Arctic Canada to tracking snow leopards in the Himalayas and standing among penguins in Antarctica — these moments have made the wildest dreams of 7 year old me come true.

There are still so many unforgettable encounters I’ve been lucky to have experienced beyond this list too — from Namibia’s desert wildlife to puffins in Iceland, humpbacks in Alaska to Koalas in Australia, and everything in between.

And yet, it also reminds me how much is still out there. So many animals I still dream of seeing in the wild — tigers, gorillas, orangutans, jaguars, giant pandas, and so much more. The list truly never ends.

The natural world is extraordinary. If seeing it is something you dream about — start planning, start going, don’t wait. These experiences are always worth it. And most importantly, ensure you're going with ethical providers and ensure your behaviours don't impact the wildlife negatively.

Afternoon tea at the Shangri-La ☕️🧁

After a busy two weeks exploring Uzbekistan and Istanbul, we decided to finish our trip on a more relaxed note and checked into the Shangri-La Istanbul Bosphorus — a peaceful escape from the bustle of the old town.

We kicked off the Easter weekend with the cutest themed afternoon tea. I don’t usually post photos of food, but I couldn’t resist sharing these!

More of the hotel coming soon, but for now we’re just enjoying being thoroughly spoilt.
