London based people shooter: in a good way.

This is the fourth time I’ve photographed but the first time in her studio. Surrounded by her art and the typewriters used to create it.

Keira’s studio is located in the beautiful and interesting outbuildings at and she introduced me to some of the other incredible artists there. There are more portraits to come.

Photographer in his gallery

Wayne takes these incredibly visceral pictures of protests and carnivals. He has published three books and had London exhibitions. He is echoing the messages beyond the protests themselves. His small Brixton gallery is a showcase of his work. It also has a Gratitude Box where visitors can write their thoughts and these emotive cards adorn the walls, floor and ceiling. It was a privilege collaborating with Wayne on this portrait. Please check out his work.

I recently shot a ‘Get home to those you love’ health and safety campaign for , visiting all six of their UK production sites over a two week period to photograph staff and their families. Some great people visited the studio we built at each location and here are a few of them.

Over the years, I’ve had a few people say they would rather visit the dentist than have their photo taken. With Dr Matt Chia, we had the best of both worlds. I don’t think people always need to smile in photographs, and often the best portraits are not smiling: but this one was all about the teeth!

Youth activist and aspiring international legal practitioner, photographed in London when she was visiting from The Gambia as part of Global Scholarship Programme.

Anjula was one of twenty impressive and inspiring young people that I photographed that day.

I love the art and craft of photography, but it’s the opportunity to meet new and interesting people that is one of the best parts of the job.
