When your subject is not at all happy with getting it's photo taken.

This is a baby Mink (no bigger than a rat) that we found on the roadside along with it's sibling.
We thought we would lie on the road to get some low angle shots, when it decided to come charging along the road towards us.
So it was a few quick grab shots and we were out of there asap :)

"A Northern Gannet glides effortlessly over the wild Atlantic Ocean"

On the right day in the right light the colours that the ocean can throw at you can make a stunning backdrop for these magnificent birds as they pass by, at times skimming the surface, but yet never getting caught by a wave.

There's something very therapeutic about standing on a cliff top just watching these magnificent birds go about their busy lives :)

Standing on a cliff, wind in your hair, the constant banter of the birds as they go about busy lives, building, preparing nests, breeding behaviour, and all against a stunning backdrop of cliffs and sea, nothing beats it :)

Took a run out last night over the moors to see if I could find any Short Eared Owls.
Was a bit late in getting there and the light wasn't great,
but here's a little round up of some of last nights efforts :)

Hopefully our local Shorties will make an appearance this year.That's next weeks plan for the evenings :)

Delighted to get 4 acceptances and a Judges medal from the Cheltenham International Salon of Photography.
It's even sweeter when it's only the second Salon I've entered after a break of almost 6 years.
Thank you to the judges (especially Jennifer Margaret Webster for her Judges Choice medal) :)

This image was taken a few years back out on the open tundra near to the shores of Hudson Bay in northern Canada.
