The waves come in,
folding over themselves with a sigh,
then retreat—
dragging the shore back with them,
grain by grain.

Between each breath of sea,
a sandpiper darts—
quick legs, sharp beak,
eyes fixed on the shifting earth.

It pauses,
just long enough to catch what the water leaves behind,
then flees the next rush,
wings half-lifted,
feet barely touching the wet sand.

The air is thick with salt and stillness,
and time moves
like the tide—
forward,
back,
forward again.

I don’t think I’ll ever tire of the woodland’s healing energy. The leaves whisper above, swaying gently as if sharing old secrets with the breeze, while the stream winds through the stillness, its waters spilling over stone and root like a gentle melody, a soothing backdrop to nature's embrace.

St Giles' Church is a Roman Catholic church in the town of Cheadle, Staffordshire, England. The Grade I listed Gothic Revival church was designed by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin and built between 1841 and 1846 for the Earl of Shrewsbury.

I have been keeping hold of this one for some time now. I took it under less-than-perfect conditions, without a tripod and in strong wind. I thought it was a lost cause, but I have done some work on it this evening, and I think I am finally happy with it. What do you think?

Here's another one from a few years ago. This was the approach to where we used to live in Shropshire, England. I travelled this road almost every day and often marvelled at the beauty, but it wasn't until right before we left there that I took the time to stop and get this picture. I am glad that I did.

Well folks.... after your overwhelming words of support in telling me I should keep the page running despite being without the tools of my trade right now, I decided to edit an image from my files. This one must be about ten years old by now, but with a fresh edit, I think it's looking great. What are your thoughts?
