M31 the andromeda galaxy
My biggest project to date at 36hrs
Shot with my seestar s50
20 & 30s subs
Both mosiac and none mosiac
Combined,stacked & Processed in pixinsight
After accidently deleting all my good subs i decided to give lightroom a go today to see if i could bring out anymore detail.
Very surprised at the outcome 😊
So i think im finally happy with the end result & won't be pushing it anymore
Clear sky's all 🔭 🌟

M51 the whirlpool galaxy
The graceful, winding arms of the majestic spiral galaxy M51 appear like a grand spiral staircase sweeping through space. They are actually long lanes of stars and gas laced with dust. Such striking arms are a hallmark of so-called grand-design spiral galaxies. In M51, also known as the Whirlpool Galaxy, these arms serve an important purpose: they are star-formation factories, compressing hydrogen gas and creating clusters of new stars.

Jon Burton (.b's Astro images ) has been using his Seestar S50 for just over 4 months when he captured these images, and he says he’s genuinely impressed by what this little telescope can do.

Before this, Jon had zero astrophotography experience. But he jumped in anyway — bought PixInsight with the RC Astro plugins, picked up a new Mac for processing, and spent hours watching YouTube tutorials to learn the basics.
He jokes that he still feels like he’s “winging it” sometimes 🤣, but judging from his results, he’s clearly making great progress.

Here’s a look at some of Jon’s favorite images taken with the S50 so far.
He’s looking forward to seeing how much he can improve in the next 5 months — and so are we.

✨ Wishing Jon clear skies and many more great captures ahead.
