Hey everyone, hope you’re all having a great weekend. I’ve not been able to get out recently, been busy with work.
I now have a week off so we are going into Derbyshire tomorrow..I’ll add a few teaser photos then Shropshire for a few nights ending up in The Cotswolds.
I’ll do some campsite reviews too!

Since we have been visiting work has commenced on the new Keith Ayling Lock and now its heading down to Puddlebank and I must say it will be great when its in water. When, I don't know but it will happen, soon!

Flying Scotsman comes to Nottingham.

Legendary steam locomotive Flying Scotsman is down at Ruddington on the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre along with Tornado. Yesterday it was 'Scotsmans day out, running trains from Ruddington down to Loughborough.

It looked great!

We went to see The Flying Scotsman today whilst she is visiting the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre in Nottingham today.
What a lovely sight to see, she looked superb in what I can describe a dark green. Paintwork immaculate. A pleasure to see!

Who has been to Kenilworth Castle?

We hadn't until yesterday when we had a few hours to pass by as we was in the area, so we dropped in for the morning.

What a lovely place to visit, lots of history - dating back to the early 1100's, Robert Dudley took possession in 1563 transformed it for Queen Elizabeth I.

This weekend's shenanigans involved a music festival, Valefest, good friends, a superb mix of musical talent, warm sunny weather, Douglas barking and a few beers.

One of my hobbies is helping out with Admin on a forum called www.thelatebay.com, dedicated for classic Volkswagen T2 campervans.
We had a gathering at the weekend, the weather was superb, a great turnout of T2's and a few other VW's, campfires and a few beers.
A lovely time was had by all!

Stiperstones National Nature Reserve, views all over Shropshire to Long Mynd, Corndon Hill and Adstone Hill.

We head back to that area in June...Small Batch Campsite so I'll do a write up from there!

Who here are National Trust supporters? We have been for a number of years now, the portfolio of properties is amazing and the history behind them fascinates me.
As we headed to Shropshire we passed by Moseley Old Hall, a place where King Charles II fled to after the Battle of Worcester back in 1651.

The volunteers tell the story of the house and its occupants. It has a lovely feel to it.

What's everyone up to this weekend? We are going on a walking weekend into Shropshire, non-camping this time but I am taking my camera.
