This Hummingbird Hawk Moth has been visiting me for some time. Whilst gardening today he/she almost touched my hand. I washed my hands, got the phone and attempted some shots. The moth never lands on the flowers and flits about the plant, so there were a lot of blurred or just lavender shots. However with persistence I got a few shots of this fabulous creature.

Eden Valley Artistic Network Gallery Day for me and my first time in since the refresh last week. Have spent some time this morning enjoying the display ( as well as taking photos and making this video ).

The lavender in my garden is lush and attracting lots of different bees. After putting down the gardening tools I got out the camera. Here’s who I figure is visiting: Bumble Bees, Buff tailed Bumble Bees, Carder Bumble Bees, Red Tailed Bumble Bees and Honey Bees. Some white butterflies also got in on the act and were easier to photograph than the bees.
