Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking photos for eaglefest, where they hosted an amazing event for Mates in Mind, a mental health charity all in memory of Sam Nordli. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to meet Sam, but it was so very clear he was very loved and respected by so many.
Over 700,000 people die through mental health each year and is becoming the world’s leading cause of death, so please to everyone out there, just be kind to one another, because you never know what that person stood next to you is going through. That person who’s distanced themselves? Be there for them. That person who’s laughing and smiling? Be there for them too, because mental illness isn’t always obvious to the blind eye. So please be a little bit more considerate, be kind, be caring and love just a little bit more. For anyone who’s suffering, please open up to someone, set them tiny goals that feel impossible, go for a walk and breathe in the nature. You are loved, you are cared for and you mean something in this world, even if it feels like you don’t 🩵
