Betsy is 3! Wow… where has that time gone?

I first met this beautiful little girl when she was still snug in her mummy’s tummy, and over the last three years I’ve had the absolute privilege of capturing some of her biggest milestones.

From a beautiful newborn, to a little sitter, her first birthday, second birthday, and now her third birthday session. What an honour it is to be trusted with such precious memories and to watch her grow into the amazing little girl she is today.

Betsy never fails to make me laugh. She has the kindest heart, the biggest personality, and a smile that lights up every session.

I can’t wait to capture many more special moments as she continues to grow.

Three years in a row. 💛

I’m incredibly honoured and grateful to have been named Best Newborn Photographer in the East Riding for the third consecutive year.

When I started this journey, I simply wanted to create beautiful memories for families and capture those fleeting moments that pass by far too quickly. To now be recognised year after year for doing something I truly love is a feeling that’s difficult to put into words.

This award isn’t just about photography. It’s about every family who has trusted me with their most precious moments, every newborn I’ve had the privilege of photographing, and every parent who has welcomed me into their story.

Being recognised with a quality score of 95%+ and ranked amongst the top businesses in the UK is an achievement I am immensely proud of, but none of it would be possible without the incredible support of my clients, followers, friends and family.

Losing your soul dog is a kind of heartbreak you’re never truly ready for. No matter how much time you had, it never feels like enough. They take a piece of you with them—the routines, the quiet moments, the unconditional love that made a house feel like home.

But in the middle of that grief, there’s also something they leave behind… the reminder of how powerful it is to love a dog with your whole heart.

And, when the time feels right (even if it never feels fully right), the greatest way to honour them is to open your heart and your home again. Not to replace them—because you never could—but to give another dog the same love, safety, and beautiful life you gave yours.

There’s something really special about photographing families in their own homes 🤍

When I shoot in a client’s home, everyone — especially babies — feels more relaxed. They’re surrounded by familiar smells, sounds, toys, blankets, and the little things that make their space theirs. That comfort makes such a difference.

Babies don’t have to adjust to a new environment, toddlers can play with their favourite toys, and parents don’t have the stress of packing bags, rushing out the door, or trying to settle little ones somewhere unfamiliar.

Instead, everything happens naturally.
