RillyPics Photography I take photos. Many photos. A handful make it here. I can often be found roaming the East Yorkshire countryside, camera or drone in hand.

Humber Bridge Spam.

I know everyone gets this shot, but they normally don't get the legs in.

Do they call them legs when talking about bridges?

Anyway, bridge spam.

Been a while since I posted anything, so here's a 2 for 1 deal.

So I got a new car and decided to have a proper long run in it. Ended up driving in a massive circle around North Yorkshire, but then there's not many more scenic places to mooch around for a day.

Stopped here for a bit to take some pics. Is it an Abbey or a Priory? What's the difference?

Also, question. Black or white, or colour?

This Sunday I'm doing the Hull 10k in support of Dovehouse Hospice.

I've seen firsthand the amazing and important work that Dovehouse Hospice does, in not only helping those needing palliative care to pass peacefully and with dignity, but also in supporting the families affected during these difficult times.

This is also something inspired by my late sister, who was supported by her local hospice in her final weeks last September. Anyone who works at, volunteers at, or otherwise supports a hospice like this, you have my upmost respect for what you do.

So please, give whatever you can to support a wonderful cause.

I'm built for comfort, not for speed, so no, I won't tell you the time I complete it in!

Never have I felt more uncomfortable when photographing cows. This one stood, a couple of feet from me, giving me the evil eye. Along with most of the others in the field.

Thankfully there was a gate in the way.

Some people would ask, why are you walking up along the top of a cliff as it's beginning to get dark? Are you some kind of danger ju**ie? Do you like living life on the edge? Are you mad?

The answer to two of those three things is No (I'll let you figure out which two).

The reason really is, I like to get colours like this.

Had to put our cat to sleep last week. 15 years of our shadow following us around, sitting with us, sharing our food, being a little diva, and breaking our hearts when you left.

Sleep tight, Pops. ❤️

I called this guy Rodders. I call every robin I see Rodders. He was a pleasant enough fella, he just sat there for a few seconds letting me take a few shots, and then he flew off to do robin things.

First post in ages!

I haven't been active in a little while, I've not been out taking photos that much. What with work, sleep, exercise, crappy weather and general life getting in the way and all that.

But a day off work has inspired me to go out and give Camera McSnappyface a workout. So, to celebrate, here's a dark and intense photo of some broody, moody clouds over the Humber Bridge.

This is being done in memory of my big sister. If you can spare a quid or two, please do so to get them over their target in the final hours of their challenge. Two incredibly worthy and important causes.

From our U13’s head coach Chris Holmes.

“Next Saturday my rugby team are undertaking a 24hr bikeathon to raise money for two cancer charities. Last year one of players tragically lost him mum to the disease, something that no person should have to go through let alone a 13 year old. We are doing this in honour of his mum, but also to honour the bravery our player has shown over the last 7 months. If anyone would like to donate it would be greatly appreciated”.

Please support them if you can!
