The middle week of June has become one of the busiest—and most rewarding—weeks of my photography calendar.

As always, I spent the week working at Royal Ascot, but this year I had a few photo shoots just before, during and after the racing week..

From photographing horses in a breathtaking wildflower meadow, to capturing the elegance of the Coaching Club Drive through Windsor Great Park, the majesty of the Royal horses following the Royal Procession, and even spending time with one of my favourite police horses—every day brought something special.

On the journey home from Ascot on Saturday, I couldn't resist calling in at Merrist Wood to see Ben Atkinson and capture a few moments for him. Then, on Sunday, I rounded off the week photographing the BDS Concours Drive.

Weeks like these remind me why I love what I do. Every location, every horse, and every event tells a different story, and it's a privilege to capture them all.

I am not really an events photographer, but there are some events that I just love photographing.

A little photographic variety? I wouldn't have it any other way.

2 photo sessions from last week, both were birthday presents.
The lady on the grey horse is my daughter, and her ride at Coworth Park and posh lunch after her ride were part of her birthday present, from her mother and me.
The second session was a present from her mother. It was taken locally on a beautiful sunny evening.

Trying to teach our naughty elf to edit my Christmas photos. Not sure I trust him!!!

2 photographs taken earlier this week (Sunday and Wednesday). All I can say is each photograph shows a young lady riding very well. But oh so different on so many levels.
A bit different to my normal private photo experiences.
