“I’m here and I’m proud and I don’t care what you think anymore”
My new photo series ALT-realities is a look into the lives of those who choose to stand out and create worlds of their own.
This project explores the art of self-expression — the tattoos, style choices, identities and personal realities people shape when the outside world doesn’t always make room for who they are.
Shot across Ayrshire, these portraits and conversations reveal the stories behind alternative identity: the rebellion, the freedom, the vulnerability, and the moments where people finally feel like themselves.
Each person brings their own alternate reality — and together they show just how powerful it is to live honestly, visibly, and unapologetically.
I will be conducting small interviews at each shoot, gaining insight into each subjects lived experiences and including their answers alongside their portraits.
