When we jump on a phone call, I ask you one main question!

How do YOU want to use your photos?

The common answer? “I’m not sure!” 😂

So I ask you to think about how you actually want to see your images every single day.

When you walk into your house.
When you’re sitting in your living room.
When you pass through the hallway every morning.

Do you picture one beautiful framed image on a side table? A set of three in your hallway? Or something bigger above the sofa that actually fills the space properly?

Because I always ask you about the end result before you’ve even stepped foot in my studio.

I don’t want you to have a lovely session, download your photos and then have absolutely no idea what to do with them.

I want to know what we’re creating them FOR.

That way, when it comes to choosing your images afterwards, you’re not starting from scratch. We’ve already spoken about your home, your space and what would actually work for you.

The photos are the important bit, obviously… but seeing them every single day is the whole point. 🤍

Dario’s newborn session started as an idea Mum had after finding me on TikTok and this is exactly why I love chatting through ideas with you before your session.

You don’t need to know exactly what you want. Bring me the idea, the colour, the theme, the random thing you saw at 2am while scrolling 😂 and we can work from there.

And this wasn’t even the only personal setup we created for Dario… wait until you see what we did with Dad’s dreadlocks. 👀

POV: you book a cake smash and your baby comes ready to PARTY 😂🎂

Freya was an absolute wee cracker from start to finish!

The clapping, the wee dances, the smiles… she was having the time of her life 😂 And then we got to the splash at the end and I think it’s safe to say that might have been her favourite part!

This is exactly why I love cake smash sessions so much. They’re not about getting your one year old to sit perfectly and smile at the camera — we let them have fun, make a mess and show me all that wee personality 🤍

And now Freya has all of these to look back on for her very first birthday 🥹🎂

If your wee one is turning ONE soon, don’t leave their cake smash until the last minute ideally we want those photos ready in time for their birthday.

A wee look behind the scenes of Tilly’s cake smash 🎂👀

And honestly… this pretty much sums up a session with me. 😂

Me spending 90% of it on the floor, making a fool of myself to get the smiles, showing Mum Kerri and Dad Taylor wee sneak peeks as we go… and just letting Tilly do her thing.

Big sister Tayla got involved too because cake smashes aren’t JUST about the birthday baby. I always make time for sibling and family photos while you’re here. 🤍

Because yes, we’re celebrating Tilly turning ONE…

But we’re also capturing this wee chapter of all four of them.

So Mum & Dad, get in the bloody photo. 😂 One day you’ll be very glad you did 🤍

Kerri came along with her beautiful family for Tilly’s cake smash and honestly… she was a wee cracker. 😂🎂

She was full of smiles, constantly sticking her wee tongue out, and big sister Tayla was right there making sure we kept those smiles coming. These two together were just too cute. 🥹

This is why I love first birthday sessions so much. Yes, we get the cake and the chaos 😂 but it’s all the wee expressions and bits of their personality at this age that I really want to capture.

FYI I ONLY have 5 SPACES left for October!! ✨
