I have returned from another few weeks in Ireland. Didn’t get as much photography in as I would have wanted but I was busy with family stuff. I did get this lovely Wren in my friends garden while I was there. I have quite a bit to sort so I’ll share as I go. In the meantime please enjoy.

Today I visited West Cork Wildlife Hides and was hosted by Phil Pound . I was there to photograph the squirrels from his Hazel Hide. Unfortunately the weather conspired against me with my rain and heavy clouds so the light in the woodland area i was in was bad. Added to that the squirrels were not playing. Fortunately I caught a break when during a spell of decent light a young male appeared so@I got some shots.

Although I didn’t get much I got something which I take as a positive. It’s what we do and what we have to deal with when photographing wildlife. Phil’s setup is very impressive and is set to expand in the future. Phil himself is a pleasant guy and a professional photographer which means he knows what he’s doing and how to set out hides and props. I’ll try visit next week to photograph the foxes in the evening but in the meantime I’d recommend a visit if you are in that part of the world.

I found this little Wren tucked in under the moss of a tree stump foraging for food. I am in Ireland again for a few weeks so hopefully I will be able to get some photography done. Can’t edit properly as I only have my phone but I’ll post when I can.
